Eric Schrader and I are happy to announce that we’ve launched a website for next year’s Pacific Bonsai Expo!
We’ve outlined event basics like how and when to submit trees, how the judging process works, and who our jurors will be. On that note, we’re thrilled that Bjorn Bjorholm, Ryan Neil, and William N. Valavanis will be the jurors for the event!
The jurors’ job is to determine which trees are accepted for display at the exhibition based on photos of trees that you submit.
We’ve also set the time and place: November 12-13, 2022, at the Bridge Yard event space in Oakland, California.
You can learn more about the event, including what you can do to participate, at:
www.pacificbonsaiexpo.com
Speaking of exhibits, I thought I’d close with a photo of a tree I’ll be displaying at next weekend’s U.S. National Bonsai Exhibition in Rochester, New York.
Exhibit bound – Yaupon holly, 13.5″
Due to unprecedented demand, the National Exhibition has sold out this year (learn more here). For those who can’t make it, I’ll be posting highlights from the event later this month.
