Pacific Rim Bonsai Collection

September 25, 2012 by Jonas Dupuich

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Weyerhaeuser’s Pacific Rim Bonsai Collection in Federal Way, Washington, where curator David De Groot and volunteers maintain trees from six Pacific Rim nations. The collection is open year round and is definitely worth a visit. Below is a selection of bonsai that were on display when I visited.

Thanks for sharing, great pictures. I really like the blue atlas cedar, the coast redwood, and especially the formal upright white pine.

I have seen many of these trees before on the internet, but never as beautifully photographed as you have. Thank-you Jonas.

Thanks Jonas, always a good to see pictures from this fine collection. I had almost forgotten how good some of the trees are , the formal upright JWP and Blue Atlas among others are very well done.
