Bay Island Bonsai Exhibit this weekend

This weekend Bay Island Bonsai will host its 16th annual exhibit in Oakland, California. Admission is free – you’re all invited!

BIB is hosting an auction Saturday and a demo Sunday. In addition to vendors offering a wide variety of bonsai wares, this year’s event also includes an expanded club sales area. Trees, imported pots, stands, books, magazines and soil will all be on sale.

    Why haven’t I moved to the Bay Area yet?!

    Jonas, any idea how old and how long the black pine has been training in the colander?

      Hi Scott – both black pines shown here are 11 years old; the one in the basket was decandled for the first time last spring.
