Highlights from the 2023 California Shohin Seminar exhibit

February 17, 2023 by Jonas Dupuich

The California Shohin Seminar, held every other year in Santa Nella, California, features workshops, demonstrations, vendors, and an exhibit.

For those who have attended the seminar, you know it’s one of the most fun bonsai events of the year. And for those who have yet to attend, the next seminar is scheduled for the first weekend of February, 2025.

In the meantime, here are some highlights from this year’s exhibit.

All looks great! The top left tree in the Rokko stand in the yellow pot. Nice taper. Not easy with a formal upright. What kind of tree is that?

I like the tree too. I’m not sure, but it looks like a zelkova.
