The California Shohin Seminar, held every other year in Santa Nella, California, features workshops, demonstrations, vendors, and an exhibit.
For those who have attended the seminar, you know it’s one of the most fun bonsai events of the year. And for those who have yet to attend, the next seminar is scheduled for the first weekend of February, 2025.

The Bonsai Garden at Lake Merritt’s annual Mammoth Fundraiser will be held at the Lakeside Garden Center this weekend on February 18-19. The auction kicks off the event Saturday followed by a day of vendors and community tree sales on Sunday. The event is a fundraiser for the BGLM – learn more about it here.

All looks great! The top left tree in the Rokko stand in the yellow pot. Nice taper. Not easy with a formal upright. What kind of tree is that?
